We’ve all seen the heartbreaking images of storm destruction left by Hurricane Michael throughout southeast Alabama, south Georgia and the Florida panhandle. While we’re fortunate the damage wasn’t worse in Alabama, the hurricane destroyed crops, cut off power to thousands, and left significant debris behind. I saw some of that damage firsthand when I visited Fort Rucker and toured the area shortly after the storm.

If your home, business, or farm sustained damage from Hurricane Michael, you may qualify for federal disaster recovery assistance. You can also find local resources at https://ema.alabama.gov.
