Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Doug Jones released the following statement after voting to end debate on a short-term government funding bill. Sixty votes were needed to advance the bill to a final vote in the Senate. The vote tally was 50-49.

The USDA’s Distance Learning and Telemedicine (DLT) program helps rural communities leverage technology to expand access to job training, educational, and health care opportunities.

New plant expected to create 4,000 new jobs, begin operations in 2021
Washington D.C. – Automakers Toyota and Mazda today announced they will invest $1.4 billion dollars to create a new manufacturing plant in Huntsville. The new plant, which is expected to be operational in 2021, will create 4,000 jobs.
