Privacy Policy

Thank you for visiting my official United States Senate website. I hope you find it to be useful and informative.

Protecting your right to personal privacy is very important to me. My website’s privacy policy is simple: I only collect the information you submit (e.g. a constituent service request) and the information necessary for you to use the website. If you choose to contact me, I will not share your contact information with any other individuals or organizations without your approval.

If you are requesting help with casework, it may also be necessary for Senator Jones' office to share the information you provide with the government agency from which you are requesting assistance. Other than when needed to perform constituent casework at your request, or in the course of an authorized law enforcement investigation or emergency posing an imminent risk to public safety, Senator Jones’ office will share not personal information communicated through this web site with any outside organization or individual.

In order to provide certain functionality on this website, and to better serve all users, some pages include embedded content from third-party organizations. Those pages may include, for example, embedded videos, social network widgets, fonts, and analytics. I have taken steps to minimize the information available to third-party organizations, but they may still be able to link your activity on this website to your activity on other websites.

My website has links to other useful sites on the Internet, including sites of other government agencies and sites relating to Alabama. If you follow any link that takes you to a location that does not include 'senate.gov' in the address, you will have left the Senate web server and you will need to refer to that site's own privacy policy.

Additionally, to conform to the rules of the United States Senate, certain information about your visit is collected automatically. The Senate’s data collection practices are explained in its privacy policy, located here: https://www.senate.gov/general/privacy.htm

Because my website only collects information that you submit and information that is necessary for loading, it does not change in response to a Do Not Track signal. The organizations that provide embedded content on the website may alter their behavior if your browser is configured to send Do Not Track.

This privacy policy is effective as of August 1, 2018. Any changes will be posted on this website before they take effect.

If you have any questions or concerns about my privacy policy, or any other issues that are important to you, please feel free to contact me. Thank you.
